The song is mixed in such a manner that one can't really make out the exact words, especially with the hook 'kaand' coming close to sounding like an expletive! Nevertheless, this song about making merry and having fun while drinking and dancing has a good pace to it and ensures that those four minutes pass by in a quick-fire fashion. To continue the club mood, there comes Nachle Tu which is led by another man who seldom gets it wrong, Mika Singh.
By the time the three versions are heard, you know that this one is going to be a huge chartbuster indeed. For this, Arijit is joined by another young singer Altamash Faridi who does well in the opportunity provided to him. On the other hand latter has a good mix to it which places it well into the clubs and discotheques. Former has Palak Muchhal joining Arijit behind the mike and together they make sure that for the ones who are in love, this would make for a good song of togetherness. No wonder, the song is repeated a couple of times more, what with a duet version coming first followed by a 'remix' version. Whether it is the mukhda, antara, intermittent portions, core arrangements or the flow of the composition, he does quite well and effectively utilises Arijit's voice to ensure that 'Tu Hi Hai Aashiqui' would be played for many more months to come. The song is magnificent and one must add here that a huge credit of that should go to Palash Muchhal who does very well in creating a similar mood that had made the music of Aashiqui 2 such a bumper success. The man who is making his presence felt in practically every major film, Arijit Singh, spins his magic once again in Tu Hi Hai Aashiqui. Sung by Kunal Ganjawala and Gayatri Ganjawala, the song is just fine though one does feel that the hook line Tu Mere Type Ka Nahi Hai could have been better placed in the song. However, save for that sound, this number with Mayur Puri as the guest lyricist does grow on you and by the time it is heard four to five times, it does entice you to hit the dance floors. In fact it is heard intermittently as well. The start isn't too auspicious, what with a 50s style retro sound of a male singer not quite flattering. The album kick-starts with Tu Mere Type Ka Nahi Hai which is put to tune by White Noise Productions. Hence, one waits to see what does newbie composer Palash Muchhal along with White Noise Productions and Sneha Khanwalkar have to offer in the music of Dishkiyaoon which has lyrics by Sanamjit Talwar. However that is an exception since by and large, gangster films don't quite have room for music. Yes, when it comes to Sanjay Gupta films belonging to the same genre, hit music is more or less guaranteed. Since the film is a gangster action drama, the scope for an everlasting melodious does get diminished. One isn't too sure about what to expect from the soundtrack of Dishkiyaoon.
